Over $335,000 was raised for the longstanding major recipient, Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge (MNATC), a faith-based recovery program for people of all ages struggling with drug and alcohol addiction with Minnesota campuses in the Twin Cities, Brainerd, Duluth, and Rochester.

“For almost 30 years, Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge has restored hope to people by providing effective and affordable short term programs as well as extensive prevention & transitional aftercare programs for their graduates,” says Wayne Johansen, Founder and Chairman of HOM Furniture, who co-chairs the annual event with his wife Char. “The HOM Open is the highlight of our summer, it is an event that Char and I, along with our family, friends, vendors, and guests look forward to each year. We are blessed to have such a big turn out, and everyone has a great time while supporting an amazing charity.”

Vendors and out of town guests started the day with breakfast, followed by the national anthem performed by the MNATC choir, games, 18 holes of golf, a live auction with items supplied by vendors such as Serta, and Tropitone. The day concluded with dinner, golf awards, and testimonials from MNATC residents detailing how their lives have been saved by the staff at Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge!
