August 2023

Designing a small space comes with unique challenges, whether it’s a small room like an office in your house, or a condo, lake cabin or other home with a smaller footprint. An interior designer can help you get the most out of the space you have available by choosing the right furniture, multi-purpose pieces, and using design strategies that will give the appearance of a more spacious spot.

There are several color strategies that can work well in a small space, including the strategic use of bright colors through artwork and accessories; or using a more monochromatic palette to visually expand your space.

Read our expert’s advice for getting the most out of a small space through the color palette, furnishings and proper selection of other design elements.
