Tree House Bedroom & Bathroom

A loving grandmother wanted to create an inviting, fun-filled bedroom for her four grandchildren to stay while incorporating her daughter’s nostalgia into the decor. Within existing architectural space, the room needed to accommodate four busy little bodies both for sleeping and for playing. An existing loft and ladder inspired the creation of a tree house atmosphere allowing space for both togetherness as well as solitary reading or play. With only one window, sunlight and airiness had to be magically introduced into the room. The vaulted ceiling became a faux-painted sky with clouds and a soaring eagle above an arboreal tree top setting. A friendly raccoon peers down to watch over sleeping children.
