Contemporary Kitchen Remodel

This couple, both gourmet cooks, love to entertain in their home. Their original kitchen was inadequate - it was too small, was out-dated and the adjoining dining room was predominately used as a resting place for paperwork. The challenge was to maximize the overall square footage by combining the two spaces and building a new functional  kitchen to meet their needs. Heidi Dockter’s design solution was to expand the kitchen area by eliminating the dining room entirely and  to ensure that the new kitchen would accommodate their storage needs and provide a space in which they could easily entertain.
